I am not a cook or baker or fan of pumpkin.  I've never even tried a pumpkin spiced latte! Say whaaaat! Ok, please don't hate me! It's just not a flavor I get excited about.  So when I want something festive to eat for this time of year I usually turn to apples, but I wanted to try something different this time around.  I saw baby pears and thought I'd give a go at a pear recipe!

I joined forces with my mom who truthfully is not a cook/baker either (apple doesn't fall far from the tree!), but I thought it would be fun!

I searched for the simplest recipe I could find and then made it more simple! lol They were delicious and I'm pretty sure my mom is going to make them for the holidays too! Oh and they're vegan and gluten free!!! Wins all around!

Ingredients

Pears (we used baby bartlette pears because they are yummy and cute!)

Butter (use Earth's Best for vegans) 1/2 tbsp

Cinnamon 3/4 tsp

Pecans 1/4 cup finely chopped

Honey 1 tbsp as the drizzle on top

Steps

1. Preheat oven at 350.  Slice pears in half, remove center, and place into deep dish bakeware

2. Mix finely crushed pecans and cinnamon in a bowel

3. Place mixture in the middle of the pears on top of the butter

4. Drizzle honey on top

5. Place pears in oven and bake for 25 min

Happy Monday and happy baking!
