When is the right time to leave your little one for the first time?  Is there even an answer to that question?  To me, it's such a personal decision and when you're ready you will know!

This year, instead of getting Christmas or Valentine's gifts for each other, my husband and I opted for a night/day out in NYC!  This meant staying overnight and leaving John home for the first time.  I was super excited and anxious at the same time. Night one, we put him to sleep and left for NYC immediately after. My mom slept over that night and woke up with him the next day.  We got home the next night after she had put him down successfully without any problems. Thank you Jesus! He had the best day and I could not have been happier.

We stayed at 1hotels Central Park  and it was the dreamiest.  If I had to compare it to something, I would say that it's the love child of Anthropologie and West Elm.  Ha! Two of my utmost favorite Stores! It's a natural oasis filled with live green beauties, reclaimed wood designs, and farm to table eats.  A peaceful, zen little spot in the midst of the hustle and bustle that is midtown Manhattan.

The room was super comfy and cozy.  We stayed in the City King Room that had the sweetest little window nook with a day bed.  We sat on it at night and sipped wine and again in the morning with some tea.  The shower was the best! The rain faucet was a dream and their custom bath products were amazing with just a hint of fragrance that made you want to keep coming back for more.

They have a cool restaurant called Jams that is "Farm-to-fork and handcrafted for you by critically-acclaimed Chef Jonathan Waxman. Linger over brunch, order breakfast in bed or relax at the bar with a seasonal cocktail."

They have a gym open 24/7, a free fruit stand in the lobby, are pet friendly, and offer a cute package for kiddies. It's called "Seedlings" and it's a service that offers in room camping with sleeping bags, binoculars (to look at the birds in Central Park and the stars at night) and other games for your kiddies! How cute is that?! And, if you need help getting around, they offer you free rides in their Tesla within a certain distance. We will definitely be back!

We hit up some of our fav spots and visited some new ones too like Chelsea Market, the coolest indoor spot filled with vendors to eat, drink, shop, and be merry at! We shopped a little, then took our lunch to go and ate outside in the sun. We then grabbed dessert from my favorite bakery, Magnolia Bakery, and headed to Central Park to eat our yummy cupcakes!  We stopped at St. Thomas Church along the way, the most peaceful little stop I've ever had. I said a prayer and then just listened. I listened to the quiet and stillness, and let go of every weight I was holding onto that day.

Hope you have the best weekend friends!! Oh, and drop me a line in the comment section if there's a spot in NYC you think I should see or somewhere you want to see and maybe I'll check it out for you! :)
